Working
closely with STÖBER's head office in
Pforzheim, Germany, ServoSoft vastly expands
its gearbox capabilities by adding Gear Motors
and support for STÖBER's full range
of de-rating factors including load, running
time and temperature as well as shaft load
speed de-rating. The gearbox shaft loads
form adds new charts for axial, radial and
tilting moment loads, clearly showing the
maximum and nominal ratings as well as the
application profiles. These new charts allow
engineers to visualize key shaft load operating
points with respect to the rated values
and make intelligent design decisions.
Like so many ServoSoft
features, Gear Motors is only available
in ServoSoft! No other sizing tool supports
Gear Motors!
The ServoSoft database
continues to grow with frequent updates,
and now contains over 38,500+
products!

Enhancements (revision
log for details)
 |
Added Gear Motors database
(Fig 1) |
 |
Includes 18,500+ Stober gear motors |
 |
Available in Pro version only |
 |
Added "Display Product
Image" button to all database tables
so users can quickly see the product
image directly in the database form.
Allows vendors to add their images to
ServoSoft to help users see what each
product looks like. (Fig 2) |
 |
Gearbox Shaft Loads form
(Fig 3) |
 |
Added new charts for the axial, radial
and tilting moment loads |
 |
Charts include all load profiles as
well as speed de-rating for rated curves. |
| |
 |
Added application Y2 values. When
there is no Transformation 2, the automatic
application value for Y2 is
the pinion radius for a rack and pinion
mechanism, and is zero for all other
mechanisms. Similarily, when Transformation
2 is a gear type, Y2 is the drive gear
radius. |
| |
 |
Added F2A and F2R calculation of rated
values based on M2K rated values and
vendor specific formulae. |
 |
Added "ProductDate"
database field to all product tables.
An optional field that stores the catalog
date for each product. |
 |
Added "LegacyType"
database field to all product tables.
Used to specify the legacy status of
each product. 0
= Current 1 =
Current but near phase out 2
= Available at spare part pricing
3 = Available only
from 3rd parties 4
= No longer available |
 |
Added "DisplayType"
database field to all product tables.
Used to specify if a product is 'Preferred'
because it is in stock and/or has a
better price. 0
= Standard 1 =
Preferred |

64-bit USB dongle drivers
are now included in the installation
package. Therefore, no need for users
running Windows 64-bit to uninstall
the 32-bit drivers and then install
the separate 64-bit drivers. |
