Common Tasks

To help you get up and running quickly, this section highlights the most frequently used tasks.

·    Insert New Axis.  Insert a new empty axis.

·    Copy Axis.  Copy an entire axis from the current or any other project.

·    Delete Axis.  Delete any or all axes in a project.

·    Create New Sequence.  Create a new sequence with a dwell segment and a move profile.

·    Save Sequence.  Save an entire axis sequence to use for other axes, or to backup for later use.

·    Open Sequence.  Open an entire axis sequence that was previously saved using Save Sequence.

·    Export Sequence to ASCII File.  Export an entire axis sequence to the Clipboard or a tab delimited ASCII text file so that the data can be manipulated by other programs including a spreadsheet.

·    Import Sequence from ASCII File.  Import an entire axis sequence from the Clipboard or a tab delimited ASCII text file.

·    System Check.  Perform a System Check to ensure all components are operating within their specified limits.

·    Apply Filters to a Database.  Program the filters you need one time, or save them as the defaults each time a database is opened.

·    Database Updates.  Download and activate the latest database and transfer your data records into the new database.

·    Create a Bill of Material.  Create a bill of material, and then import it into a spreadsheet, or export it to a text file.

·    Charts.  Change scale units, work with the crosshairs, zoom and pan, and export chart data to file.

·    Printing.  Print reports to a printer or to a number of file formats including PDF, Word, HTML, BMP, JPEG, EMF.

·    Shortcuts.  Quickly jump to handy charts and data by using these useful shortcuts.

·    Features Enabled/Disabled List.  See which features are enabled or disabled in your program version.

·    Technical Support.  See if we have answered your questions already in our Frequently Asked Questions page, or contact our support team directly.
