Create New Sequence

Using the navigation tree, select the desired axis, and then selects its drive mechanism stage.  Click on the ‘Sequence’ button in the drive mechanism toolbar.

The Sequence form appears.  Two steps will be created.  Step 1 will be a dwell segment, and Step 2 will be a move.  To name Step 1, click on the description cell, and then type ‘Dwell’.  To create Step 2 in the Sequence table, right-click on Step 1, then select ‘Append > Move’.

The Sequence table now has two Steps – Step 1 Dwell, and Step 2 Move.

To edit Step 1, right-click on Step 1 and select ‘Open’.

Tip: Double-click on a step number to open the step.

The Segment form opens.  To specify a 1 second dwell segment:

  • Profile Type = Dwell
  • Time = 1 second
  • Click ‘OK’

Next, open Step 2.  Enter the profile parameters as shown, then click ‘Ok’.  Note that the 1/3 rule is applied where tAccel = tConstVel = tDecel

The final sequence is shown.  Click ‘Apply’ or ‘Ok’ to apply the sequence to the project.

Note: The Load position and velocity profiles and the motor torque profiles are displayed in the Sequence form.  Any profile from any axis can be displayed in the Sequence form, up to 4 profiles in one chart.  To change which profiles are shown in the Sequence form, see Configure Profiles
