System Power Overview

The Power section calculates the power flow through all components of the servo system. The component power calculations are presented in the Power Summary Table. For more detail, refer to the individual Component Power Flow. Finally, the System Supply Power shows the total power drawn from the supply.

Use the power and current data to size:

Cables and breakers feeding the infeed modules
Infeed modules by determining the required bus continuous and peak power
Cables to each motor based on rms current
Auxiliary modules such as bleeders and capacitor modules

Perform power efficiency and cost saving comparisons using scenario analysis with various configurations. Many configurations are possible including:

Sample 1 - Shared Bus – Single Supply, Multiple Bleeder, Floating Bus

Sample 2 - Shared Bus – Multiple Supply, Single Internal Bleeder, Floating Bus

Sample 3 - Shared Bus – Infeed Module, Single Supply, Regenerative Regulated Bus
