Stoßdämpfer

The shock absorber form contains the application selection criteria.

Shock absorbers can be located either to the Left. The Left and Right shock absorbers allow for two separate selection criteria. For mechanisms with an incline, including vertical axes where the incline angle is 90deg, the Left shock absorber is at the Bottom of the stroke, and Right shock absorber is at the Top of the stroke.

When the 'Use same shock absorber for both Left and Right' is selected, the exact same inputs and selection are applied to both the Left and Right shock absorbers.

To select a shock absorber:

  1. First select the application type from the drop down list.
  2. Then set the appropriate selection criteria in the form.
  3. Then click on the 'Open Shock Absorber Database' button, which will open a form listing shock absorbers in the database that meet the specified selection criteria.
